We are currently working on a series showcasing interesting people and places. For venues or places we try and include between 3-5 of your best storytellers ( this helps to keep things interesting)Our aim is to try and capture the soul of the place ( without making it an advert). The idea being that viewers go; “ that looks like an interesting place, with awesome people, let’s check it out” . Hope that makes sense.
Here is a playlist of some of the places and people we have covered https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLv5Oi_7lruftz1GfwD3Omsyn5F2kiEl7W
We need to each interview to take place in a different space which allows us to capture footage of the space. (some form of activity is even better)I think you’ll agree that listening to someone talk without interesting visuals doesn’t work for anyone.
The cost is negotiable (please see what goes in to making a short film/video) Each episode is between 5-10 minutes in length, and would cover the following:
• The location
• History
• What people can expect & ethos
• Who you are, and what do you do (each interviewee)
• Any personal stories that relate to the space
• What makes you different
We have found that if the story has heart, the engagement and interest increase.
We are open to suggestions of any person you feel may tell your story well. We are happy to do the interview in any language that you feel comfortable in.
Finally, we film a video every week and will be in your area from about 7am. We need about 1 hour per person, for interview and scenic/info shots.(plus ½ hour time in between catered for over-runs)
Please let me know if this is of interest, and if we can set up a call to discuss any questions you may have. Would you be prepared to assist?
Here is some more information about us:
We created the channel in 2016. In 2021 we took the decision to concentrate on the channel full time. This has resulted in a 180% growth in viewership and subscriptions this year, a reach of over 1 200 000 with a click rate of 7.8% (well above average), 700 000 video views and 12 000 hours of content watched across the channel. Our audience is mainly South African, with strong growth in the UK, Germany, Holland, Canada, USA, India and Australia. The audience is between 25 and 55 years of age, 55% men and 45% women. We have been selected as finalists in the Johannesburg Film Festival, twice, featured on Discovery Channel, Lifetime Channel, and our content is regularly used by producers for various shows on South African television channels. *Verified figures – Google analytics for You Tube
You Tube is recognised as the second biggest search engine, after google, and with video content fast becoming the preferred choice of sourcing information, we predict strong channel growth. Our content is filmed in a documentary type format with interviews, and cutaways assisting in the storytelling. We firmly believe that the focus needs to be on the people with the story to tell and not on us. ( We don’t do Vlog style videos). As a result, our videos have a 78% watch rate ( the average on You Tube is approximately 40% or less). At the end of the day, we are promoting a product or a place, but we allow the story to create the interest and further action as opposed to a hard sell ( advertisement).
I look forward to hearing from you
